Board of Directors:
The League is
governed by a 16 member Board of Directors, two of whom are President and
President elect. The Board of Directors
evaluates overall JLO policy; maintains general control of JLO affairs,
funds and properties; is the final authority for admission to and removal from
membership; establishes and administrates long-range planning; interprets the
By-Laws; and manages personnel issues of the organization. Board meetings are held the 1st Monday of
every month and are open to all members unless the President specifically
closes the meeting.

Membership:
Membership retains final authority for the total Junior
League program. They make decisions affecting
the entire membership. Each active
member of the Junior League of Omaha is a member of the Board of Directors, a
Council, or a committee (Community Placement excepted). Information may travel either from committee
member to chairman to Council Director to Board or from Board to Council
Director to chairman to committee member.
