Mission:
The Junior League of Omaha, Inc. is an organization of women committed
to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving
communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its
purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
In support
of its mission, the Junior League of Omaha provides funds to assist the
community. The JLO's organizational priorities and available resources
influence the allocation of Community Assistance Fund Grants. Priority
will be given to non-profit agencies committed to serving the JLO's signature
project areas of children and women's issues.
Restrictions:
The Junior League of Omaha does not provide funding for the
following:

Endowment funds or building fund drives
·
Religious
organizations for religious purposes
·
Tickets
or tables for benefit events
·
Advertising
for fund-raising activities
·
Trips
or tours
·
Individual
requests
·
Agency
staff
·
Research
groups
Eligibility:
·
Agencies must have non-profit 501 (c) 3 status
·
Agencies
must be located in Douglas, Sarpy or Washington Counties in Nebraska
·
Agencies
with current JLO funded projects are not eligible for grants this or the
following year
Amount:
Grants are
generally given in amounts of $1,000 per agency.
