The Junior League of Omaha is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
In support of our mission, the Junior League of Omaha provides funds to assist community agencies who are committed to addressing the needs of women and children.
Selection Process:
The Project Development Committee and interested members will review all submitted grant applications and choose a grantee(s) (grant(s) total $1,500). The selected grant applications will be presented to the Board of Directors for final approval. All applicants will be notified whether they have been selected or not following final Board approval.
Timeline:
January 15th- Application Due (Postmarked on the 15th or due by 5:00 p.m.)
February – Committee Review
March – Selected Grants List Presented to Board
April – Applicants notified of Awards
May – Award Presented at Junior League of Omaha’s Annual Meeting on May 7, 2012
Eligibility:
· Applicants must be a non-profit 501(c)(3)
· Applicants must be located in and serve the greater Omaha metro area
· Must not have been the recipient of a grant from the Junior League of Omaha in the two most recent years
· Grants must support/pertain to the needs/benefits/enrichment/enlightenment of women and/or children

Budget Restrictions:
The Junior League will not provide funds for:
· Agency staff time
· Tickets or tables for benefits
· Fundraising activities
· Building funds or endowments
· Requests to fund Individuals
· Trips or Tours
· Research Groups
