Sheryl Orlich

  1. Your family:

My husband Johnny married for 7 years, two boys Alex 5 and Nico 3.

  1. Favorite JLO Placement:

A committee called Celebration of Life in the Salt Lake City League that planned celebrations for seriously ill children.  I also loved the Done In A Day this year and getting to know the committee members who were all exceptional women!

  1. Other volunteer work:

I lead the wedding facilitation team at my church, teach Sunday school, and serve on the children's leadership team.

  1. Favorite part of your league experience:

I originally joined the JLO because I moved to a new state, was a new mother and didn't know anyone and Junior League seemed like a great way to meet new friends.  Then I moved to California and did the same thing, and then the 3rd time was the charm and I think I'm staying in Omaha for a while!  I now like to be in the JLO because of all the opportunities to serve the community and meet people.

Jennifer Zatechka

  1. Your family:

I am married to Rob Zatechka, a UNMC Anesthesia resident and we have two children Brennan (4.5 years) and Ryan (2 years).  All of whom are thankfully supportive of my JLO activities as well as my attempts to be a "mompreneur" with my Swarovkski crystal shirt business.

  1. Favorite JLO Placement:

Really enjoyed working on the Holiday Mart from years past - loved to see all the hard work by so many people come together in one night/weekend where JLO members, husbands, families and friends could all participate and benefit.

  1. Other volunteer work:

Been involved for many years (since college!) with International Sorority in a variety  of ways, everything from a traveling organizational consultant for college chapters to writing personal enrichment programming; done work with Cystic Fibrosis specifically the Boomer Esiason Foundation for the past 9 years; Children's Hospital Gala auction as well as helping with auctions for various other entities; served on several church committees.

  1. Favorite part of your league experience:

Favorite part of JLO is seeing so many different people find something that "fits" for them...such a wide range of personalities and backgrounds can come together for projects large and small.  Everyone is "equal" when it comes to community service - it doesn't matter what car you drive, if you've been in the same sweat pants for 3 days, if your hair is shiny or your floors are spotless (mine never are!)...it matters what you do out in the community.
