Membership
in the Junior League of Omaha brings with it numerous benefits. Because of the Junior League's wide
geographic draw across our city, our members form friendships with women from
all areas of the Metropolitan area.
Traditionally,
the Junior League is known for its well trained volunteers. Even into the 21st century, the Junior
League continues to offer training in diverse areas for its members. Whether it
is learning the value of boardsmanship or parenting skills, CPR or Facilitation
training, the Junior League brings current, relevant training to its members.
The Junior
League also trains its members through multiple opportunities to be involved in
the governance of the Junior League. Leaders learn meeting presentation skills,
boardsmanship, conflict resolution, collaborative decision making and
parliamentary procedure.
As a result
of its longstanding presence in the Omaha community, the Junior League involves
its members in a wide variety of volunteer service opportunities. The Junior
League has been a participant and driving force behind Every Woman Matters, The
Nebraska Race for the Cure, Friends of Joslyn Castle, The General Crook House, The
Omaha Symphony Guild and so many other agencies, they are too numerous to list.
In addition to these high profile projects, the Junior League offers members
the opportunity to volunteer one on one with at risk youth, children in
hospitals, homeless veterans and youths looking for friends.
As a result
of the opportunities to make new friends, learn new skills and make significant
volunteer impact, the benefit of membership in the Junior League is knowing
that your time has been well spent and in a meaningful way. Learn more about Membership
